Batcat Image Server
Change - 10/29/03
Batcat
Mike Walker provided disk space on his personal Internet server - edenonline2.com, for
more than 2 years. Disk space on the edenonline2
server provided on-line storage for virtually all of the images I have
for Batcat. Effective November 2003 Mike discontinued operation
of that server. I want to Thank Mike
Walker very much for allowing me the use of
edenonline2.com for those 2 years!
With the discontinuance of
edenonline2.com another friend, David Talley
, graciously consented to my use of his personal server,
Stinsonflyer.com, to store the Batcat images. David Talley has
allowed me to use his personal server for my Stinson 108 material for
sometime, and I very much appreciate his willingness to provided additional
space for the Batcat images!
The ability to store the Batcat images on-line is most
important. My personal ISP, TDSTELME.NET, has a 5 Mb disk space limitation for
personal homepages. Without the generosity of Mike Walker
and David Talley, only about 10% of the currently available Batcat
images could be stored on my ISP. I thank both gentlemen for their help to make
this site better - Larry Westin

Otis Crew Photographs
Lynn Gates sent along this crew photo taken at Otis AFB during training. I
haven't seen other crew photos taken at Otis, so this is somewhat unique.
Image otis14-3.jpg is a crew photo taken at Otis AFB during trainning, provided by crew member Lynn
Gates. Based on when the photo was taken I'm guessing it was training to be
part of the third group of aircrew at Korat. Here is a list of the
Otis crew 14-3 names.

The "Party Suites"
Some individuals had dress or party suits made while at
Korat. Paul Hasz sent me the first image of a party suit a couple months back.
Then George and Carla Ritter
contacted me with several more images. So I've added this area to the
photographs page to illustrate some of the party suits. While these suits are
similar, you find a lot of individual preferences in these party
suits.
Some individuals had
dress flight suits such as the one shown here provided by Paul Hasz.
This suit shows many of the Batcat patches all on one flight
suit. These were sometimes referred to as "party suits."
Added 10/15/05, color, about 114K.
George Ritter and his wife
Carla, have collected vietnam era
party suits and patches for a long time. They sent me the following images of

you can see from these entries George and Carla Ritter have a large
collection of Vietnam era party suits. And what you see here are
only those which are connected with Batcat. If you have Vietnam
era party suits or patches you may want to sell or trade, or maybe you
just have questions about a suit or patch you own, please contact
George or Carla Ritter at
geocar_1@charter.net.
Added 12/26/05, all images are color,
and range in size from bout 40K to 80K.

Reconnaissance Squadron was disbanded from flying the EC-121R, with
Detachment 1 of the 553rd Reconnaissance Wing at Nakhom Phanom then
using becoming the 554th Squadron flying the QU-22B Baby Bats.

Korat RTAFB Aircrew Photographs
I've tried to standardize all aircrew images with the same
naming convention. An example of my aircrew photo file naming convention - "
bcc05-1.jpg." BCC indicates
Bat
Cat
Crew,
05 is for crew number 5, and
-1 means the first
aircrew assigned with this number.
Virtually all the images I have are in jpeg (jpg) format.
With few exceptions each image ranges in size from about 20K to a maximum of
about 70K. Some may be a little smaller or bigger, all are a size which normally
can be e-mailed without causing any problem with your mail server.
Korat RTAFB Crew Time Frames - Approximate
Crew numbers appear to have repeated approximately three times. First crews at
Korat from about Nov 67 to Oct 68, images for crews during this period have a -1
at the end of the file. Second crews at Korat from about Nov 68 to Oct 69, images
for this period have a -2 at the end of the file. Third and last crews
at Korat from about Nov 69 to Dec 70, images for this period have a -3
at the end of the file. Hope I have not confused you too much. In
some cases there are exceptions.
